After homeschooling my children all their lives, one child is nearly 15 and my twins are 11. A couple of weeks ago I had to put them into mainstream school. This was a vey difficult decision, but I've been a single mum since they were newborn babies, with no help at all from anyone, I have 3 different jobs and I felt I couldn't do the homeschooling I wanted to do with them. When I ask my daughter what her favourite lesson is, she says it hasn't happened yet, because she is an artist and they don't do art in schools anymore, so I'm thankful for all the years of homeschooling where she sat and painted all day and perfected her art. She isn't waiting for the day they can draw in school, she gets up early and draws then comes home and draws and paints. My boys want to fly and one of them has started gliding lessons. Thankfully they are aware of all the bullshit and I do tell them to question everything and everything that comes out of a teachers mouth isn't always the whole truth. They know how to use their intuition AND to hold their noses if the school nurse tries to spray the fucking flu vaccine up it!

Fucking hell Dawn! You’ve done a fabulous job with your crew, well done girl. Don’t beat yourself up for having to make that very difficult decision. You’re sending them into mainstream education extremely well equipped. I can see you having to complain to the school about endless detentions, because they don’t/won’t follow the narrative and they question everyone and everything, until they feel satisfied! You’ve done, and are doing a great job. Much love to you and yours 💜❤️♥️

Well done for homeschooling from an ex teacher and principal. I wish you all the very best. Ps I was never ‘normal’ in my work. Bless

Maybe she's fortunate that they don't do art in the schools. A family member went to college and took some art classes that were weak sauce and was not impressed. He then found an atelier that he loved and is doing amazing work. Art classes could shut off creativity depending on the teacher and the school.

I went to collect my granddaughter from pre school nursery. The teacher lined the little kids up like cattle, for them to be ordered to go back into class single file. I felt so sad to watch the brainwashing from such an early impressionable age 🥹 It never fails to shock me.

Hi Nicola, did you ask what your Grand daughter felt when they were told to line up? I wonder if they could just say to the children, go into the class room together without pushing and shoving? Much love to you and your Granddaughter 💜❤️♥️

Mark, I'm 46. Your message today reached me in Canada.

And with all honesty, you've motivated me to return to my own self development. I've been off work for several years on disability. And twice now I've begun to teach myself coding. And twice I've become discouraged and given up.

But you're right. It is up to each of us to pursue what we love to do, and to educate ourselves, because at the end of the day, we are all geniuses. We can succeed without the 'system'.

Keep up the great work mate
